The footer cuts off your text at the bottom. Black text is too dark for a dark blue background The menu doesn't stand out - not enough contrast on the colours and only showing tabs on the rollover state is a little odd. In IE7 (less toolbars/chrome) the layout has gaps. In IE 6, its all scrunched up and overlapping. rafiki 03-13-2008, 02:59 PM http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jamiewest.org.uk%2Fcss%2F i just finished laying it out, its not finished, obviously i posted here for critism on everything, and i fixed the errors now passed validation. NancyJ 03-13-2008, 03:03 PM - no meta tags, why? The site doesn't even have content and you're expecting meta tags? rafiki 03-13-2008, 03:03 PM at nancy Using IE8 and IE8 in IE7 emulation mode, FF2 and FF3b4 I don't see any problems? oesxyl 03-13-2008, 03:06 PM http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jamiewest.org.uk%2Fcss%2F i just finished laying it out, its not finished, obviously i posted here for critism on everything, and i fixed the errors now passed validation. the css is also invalid: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css21&warning=0&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jamiewest.org.uk%2Fcss%2F I presume is the same reason. best regards NancyJ 03-13-2008, 03:06 PM at nancy Using IE8 and IE8 in IE7 emulation mode, FF2 and FF3b4 I don't see any problems? I guess everything must be fine then o.O rafiki 03-13-2008, 03:07 PM not saying everything is alright, but just if someone else saidi they see the errors and maybe a screeny then i could know what im attempting to fix oesxyl 03-13-2008, 03:15 PM The site doesn't even have content and you're expecting meta tags? yes, it allready know what content will be there. And I'not talking only about keywords and description, first time I was look have not title, or I'm worng and I don't see it?. I don't get it is a site review or a layout review, is ready or work in progress? Don't matter how it is, is not a problem, but I want to know what to expect. best regards rafiki 03-13-2008, 03:28 PM Its basically just a review on the layout sorry should of mentioned. I Played around and the head is fixed, And I'm not sure what to make the color and the size of the font or even the family. Open to suggestions. Cheers Rafiki rafiki 03-13-2008, 04:02 PM Black text is too dark for a dark blue background The menu doesn't stand out - not enough contrast on the colours and only showing tabs on the rollover state is a little odd. You need a background image or background color. And if you have the web developer toolbar for Firefox, disable the CSS styles, does the site still make sense? You need some headings for the content.
