Hi

I was wondering if having h1 tags with style elements like font size, font weight etc to modify the appearance of the content in the tag was just as effective in the search engines as if i had no style elements.

for example:

<h1 style="font-size:12px;">Info</h1>

just as effective and important to SEO as

<h1>Info</h1>

Thanks

Search engines donít care about the style. They read the text, and thatís it.

<h1> is preferred because then you put the styles into an external CSS file. This also helps because search engines aren't likely to actually parse your entire page if it is long, so if you get rid of unnecessary code like style="blah", you'll get more content in the search engine.
