Hey all,

Could anyone possibly help me? I'm at a complete loss at how I'm going to do this.

I want to create a banner with images scrolling from either right to left or left to right.

Total flash area size 458 x 106 pixels.
I want roughly 3 images displayed at a time. All images are 106px high.
I also want to have a 2mm gap between photos.

If possible, I want to have flash read the pictures from a folder and have the order sorted by a naming convention. And, again, if possible, I would like the speed and direction configurable from a config file of some sort.

Thankyou so much!

Well Flash can't read from a folder without the help of something like PHP to offer it that ability. Flash is client side. Do you have Flash knowledge now? If you do a couple searches there are plenty of tutorials that do similar things. You might have to put a few things together in the end...

Idea: set up an xml config file that loads with the list of images and any parameters for the file.

We can help you more if you find something you want to use and try to set it up, then when you have problems we can help troubleshoot.

You could pull the image filenames from a mySQL database using PHP, then create the image tags and pull all of that between two html marquee tags.
