So I thought I'd take ur interview :) liorean 03-07-2008, 03:37 PM I was just wondering how you (and other CF members) manage to give such detailed answers??It's just a question about having been there, had to learn it, done it. And a natural curiosity for how it works. I have done much more scripting in the form of tests for browser functionality than I have done code that is actually used - in fact, last couple of years that's pretty much the only type of scripting I've done. Inigoesdr 03-07-2008, 04:43 PM guess wrong question, wrong timing at the wrong place :( Guess it wasn't as funny as I thought. :( Basscyst 03-07-2008, 07:03 PM Nothing liorean, I was just wondering how you (and other CF members) manage to give such detailed answers?? That rules out the possibility of you being a Microsoft program then... :D tagnu 03-08-2008, 01:25 AM It's just a question about having been there, had to learn it, done it. Answer this liorean: http://www.xkcd.com/233/ liorean 03-09-2008, 06:53 PM Let's test him. Answer this liorean: http://www.xkcd.com/233/I actually had to go to wikipedia to find out what this "land before time" was. Turns out I have actually seen it, though in Swedish. I was rather young then, so I don't quite remember what happened in it. Knowing myself, I probably did feel sad about it though - I'm the kind of person who cries to sad movie sequences or songs, but only if there's nobody else around to see. sage45 03-09-2008, 10:24 PM Land before time??? Land before time??? Wasn't that a tv show??? No wait, I'm thinking Land of the lost... But this poses an interesting question, if time was first, how could you have land before it??? -saige- liorean 03-10-2008, 01:50 AM But this poses an interesting question, if time was first, how could you have land before it???It's a paradox. For something to come before or after something else, that means there is a continuity, a sequence of events. And time is a measurement of the sequence of event. In other words, it's impossible for anything to be before or after time, because before and after only makes sense if there is time already. Kinda like the singularity model in big bang theory - big bang was not the start of the universe, it was the start of spacetime or at least time. The actual universe, in the form of incredibly dense energy clustered into singularity, must have existed at the very start of time already. Otherwise thermodynamics must be wrong, which we have no indication of whatsoever. Of course, there's oscillating equilibrium and other alternate models for big bang theory that don't actually require time to be finite in one direction, but singularity is the one with near consensus. VIPStephan 03-10-2008, 12:37 PM Hm, liorean must be human. Or has there been a philosophizing robot yet? rafiki 03-10-2008, 02:16 PM Hm, liorean must be human. I wouldn't bet on it yet... tagnu 03-11-2008, 05:38 AM Hm, liorean must be human. Or has there been a philosophizing robot yet? may be the first one!! tagnu 03-11-2008, 05:42 AM I wouldn't bet on it yet... what happened to your site rafiki??? The one who speaks very rarely and always answer all questions with a code of a full document- no comments- no explanations. And possess a unique identity! Any guess ? tagnu 03-28-2008, 10:26 PM let me guess??? his nic = 3 letter word?? :) |
