LuCallbackProxy.exe runs every 20 mins and serverly slows down pc up to 10mins!

I did not have this with norton 2007 but since upgrading with a full version on cd to 2008 i have had nothing but slow pc!

i have reinstalled in and still the same.

how do i limit or change the times it scans for updates, 20 minutes is way to short and it take nearly 10 minutes to complete and then anoter ten or so minutes and it starts again !!!!

It may take time but you will eventually come to the conclusion as so many others have is that Norton has become the very things it tries to protect you against.

My advice would be to get rid of it and go with another better solution. AVG works as well or better than Norton but is not a resource hog like Norton. Even better is that the free version is fully functional as the non-free version. Just doesn't have all the other bells and whistles but it does provide protection.
