Flame me for this, but does anyone know where I can get a flash video player like they have for YouTube and Google Video, that I can just tell it what file to play instead of converting my video into flash?

I just have to show a buddy a video but it's too long to upload on youtube but I don't want to have to build the flash video player. I don't care if it has someones logo on it, or if it's ugly, it just needs to get done.

the bigger the view size the better.

thanks guys, I had a long night last night, sorry if this post doesn't make sence. Take a guess what the video is about.... haha.

Thanks again!

The problem isn't the player, the problem is actually converting the video to .flv format. If you can do this then there tons of players out there. One I use often is http://www.*******************/?item=JW_FLV_Media_Player

oh, so the video needs to be in a FLV format?

I thought flash had the ability to play straight mpeg or avi files.

So, the video is 480 mb, is that a PITA to convert to FLV?

thanks for the help.

EDIT:
ok, i did some research on it. I understand now. But what can I use to convert a mpeg to FLV?

It will take a few hours. You can try http://www.rivavx.com/?encoder

If that doesn't work then you can try SUPER Video (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html) which is what I use sometimes. If you have Flash 8 Professional or higher you can use the Flash Video Encoder that it comes with.
