Guys am planning to build a travel website that something similar to planetholidays.com......what software/prog lang should i use since there will be alot of database transaction involved...

PHP/MYSQL/HTML/JAVASCRIPT/AJAX/CSS
and a pretty good knowledge of all of them.

You don't really NEED to know JavaScript nor AJAX, but the others are definitely needed.

hey thnx alot for your replies.....but is php and mysql enough since each and everytime a customer requests certain details the database will have to be accessed.....will mysql be enough for heavy database transactions? and is php reliable? by the way is mysql free for commercial use??
