Simple Javascript and PHP Project

I need a web script that works like the desktop app http://snippage.gabocorp.com/ , you can make this anyway you like as long as it works well and is fast. on the index page there will be a box where users can enter a web address, they will then be shown the whole site, they will drag a selector (cropping) tool over the area they would like as their widget, the script will then prompt them to sign in and save it, once theyv'e saved it they can embed it into their blog or site. This isn't just JS and PHP. It would take a hefty amount of client-side, and possibly no js or php at all. Those langs are just for websites.

You need to either get more money to hire someone GOOD to do this properly or become an expert.

This will require Javascript/XHTML/CSS and some sort of server side language to create the widgets (presumably either ASP or PHP)

But also some client side language like c or c++ to actually use the widgets on the desktop

I could do it for you but fast turn around time means sloppier work. Plus the price point is a little low, under $100 is too little. Anyways the other thing is that your aiding copyright infringement - pointing at someones content without permission would be illegal.

Also what do you mean by widget? Taking text you could output with flash or something, but snatching up images and flash files, etc is tricky and requires hd space if you're going to cache it - other wise you could hotlink to the file they linked to but that's even worse (bandwidth theft).

What i am getting from your requirement is, that you need a croping tool that will crop a part of the website and can save it for later use.

Are you comfortable with if the user selects particular area and then paste it in a box and then he can save that content.
