Hi,

I have created this very simple and minimalisic website : http://jhdentrechter.net
The site displays right in all browsers exept in IE6. The html and css are very simple, and i don't know what the problem is. Don't mind the php in the source, ist just a mini cms.

Thanks

I believe the problem lies in your IE stylesheet:

#menu {
float: left;
width: 215px;
overflow: auto;
top: 0;
bottom: 0;
position: fixed;
height: 100%;
background-color: #fff;
}

#content {
height: 100%;
margin: 0 0 0 215px;
top: 0;
}

* html div#menu {
width: 20%;
}

* html div#content {
height: 100%;
width: 80%;
overflow: auto;
position: absolute;
margin: 0;
}

You also failed to properly close a few tags in your HTML, but I don't think it's causing a problem.

Thanks for the reply. I deleted the lines you marked, but the layout in IE6 didn't change, it still looks messed up.

Sorry, I didn't mean to delete them, I meant to fix them.

Something like this: (Change the values as needed)

#menu {
float: left;
width: 215px;
overflow: auto;
top: 0px;
position: fixed;
height: 100%;
background-color: #fff;
}

#content {
height: 100%;
margin: 0 0 0 215px;
position:absolute;
top: 100px;
}

* html div#menu {
width: 20%;
}

* html div#content {
height: 100%;
width: 80%;
overflow: auto;
position: absolute;
margin: 0;
}
