Simulate download

Am i able to code in a simulated download without using the function in flash to do it? I am sending someone a swf which will be loaded locally but i still want to be able to give them a demonstation of what the preloader will look like had it been stored on a web server.

Is this possible?

I don't see how this is possible. Why not upload it to a server and just send them a url. Also quit bumping, its annoying and doesn't get you help any faster.
