When I refresh the page on my site, it goes back to the top. How do I make it scroll back down to its previous scroll position. THis is probably a very very basic thing but... hey xD

You can't get to the exact spot, you can however use an anchor.

<a name="spot"></a>

<a href="page.html#spot">Go back to the spot</a>

Uh.... see i have a long page. And I mean when you press F5, I want it to go back down to the last spot it was at. Which it isn't doing. Well wait, it's doing it in IE, and on most windows for firefox. But on my site for firefox. Nope.

i thought that it was a browser thing!! When i refresh a page it automatically goes back to where the position was when i refreshed it, i dont think i have seen one page that doesnt do it. Which browser are you useing??

It is a browser thing, however if your page loads slowly then it takes a while to do it - and usually people don't like to wait.

Use anchors or scrap this idea.

yeah, your best bet is to make an anchor and create a button, although i created a function in javascript that saves a working form for my companies website. The form is extremely long and when they need to walk away from it all they do is validate it, save and when they come back to the page it saves the anchor.

Of course that get into php and javascript and its alot of code, so i would just rely on the whole browser thing!!

Hmm, i'm kindof confused. But in reply to speed, its a 100mbit server. Theres no chance it's slow.

Try it yourself. If it works for you, then i'm going to go reinstall firefox.
