flash play/stop button

Hi can anybody offer help on how to make the play and stop buttons function, I am using buttons from the common library and I can't get the buttons working the way they should i.e. stopping and playing. Can anyone, if willing, send the action script for this play/stop button to work?

Well...its one of the basic functions of Flash. It depends on what you want to start and stop. Try looking through the Flash help documents. You can also use the simple view for editing code which makes it a lot easier to edit simple actionscript without knowing it.
