Is the best way to assemble image slices still <table>?

Wondering how accurate CSS is with slices..don't want them overlapping, etc ;)

are your images cut up in a grid or cut up all over the place?

if they are in a grid you dont actually need to use a table... just do something like:

<img src="img1a.jpg"><img src="img1b.jpg"><img src="img1c.jpg"><br>
<img src="img2a.jpg"><img src="img2b.jpg"><img src="img2c.jpg"><br>
<img src="img3a.jpg"><img src="img3b.jpg"><img src="img3c.jpg"><br>

etc..............

or if they are cut up all over place you might need to use a table... or if youre brave you could position them all absolutely, i wouldnt like to be the one working that all out pixel to pixel though... :eek:

etc... or have i got the wrong end of the stick?;)

Yeah, they're cut up all over the place, without considering difficulty, which one is more efficient?:)

if you really want no constrictions and freedom to place the images wherever you want, absolutely positioned divs will be the best way to go
redhead stressed the issue because measuring pixel to pixel can be tedious.
<div style="position:absolute;top:35px;left:35px;z-index:50;">
<img src="">
</div>
