PHP, MySQL, Access DB?

I'm VERY new to PHP and have heard all this talk about MySQL - is there a way to use Access with PHP, what is MySQL?

mySQL is the most used DB used with PHP nowdays (or so ive heard). the thing is with access that you cant have many connections and you have to find the documentation for it. PHP/mySQL tutorials litter the web so you shouldnt have any trouble learning. and mySQL is a database sytem like acces oracle and many others

well get mySQL from www.mySQL.com and then go to www.webmonkey.com and read the tutorial on php/mysql and that should get you going pretty well!
