guinea p... errr beta testers required (php-gtk)

ok alpha testers really , I just want to find out the success rate of the installer for gtkdev 0.000001/2 which installs php-gtk on win32 with file associations etc so you can double-click away without all the command line or batch file stuff.

Only known (so-far) no-no is installing to a folder with a space in the name 'program files' etc.

It seems to work with 2k & XP so far , I dont actually expect it to work on 98 but it's unlikely to hurt if anyone wants to give it a try???

its 3.18MB, installs php-gtk + a couple of test scripts, it can't mess with existing php installations unless you install right over the top of an existing one, windows and system dirs etc are untouched, an uninstaller removes all but the root installation directory which can be deleted afterwards.

so If anyone can spare 10 mins... I just need to know if it installs ? (if it does you will know cos you should see something like this => http://www.firepages.org/gtkdev.htm )

any feedback appreciated (I know the code and content are dodgy but thats not my primary concern today )

Cheers Nightfire - winME users are getting the same...

any chance you can edit c:\phpdev\gtkdev\php4\php.ini and comment out the

extension=php_sockets.dll

line - then try double clicking one of the files ?

Nothing shows when I try to run the program after commenting it :(
