hey guys, please check out www.fiddlefax.co.za. its still in its early stages of development but I would really appreciate some feedback. Could somebody also run a port scan to determine how secure my server is?

very secure, I can't load main page, so I can't see the site, so no review, :)

yeah... its the south african back-bone... we've been taking a beating from power cuts, storms, low-bandwidth etc... server emailed to say there could be occasional problems with people accessing the site from outside the continent....

- IMO the current date from the menu bar, can be removed
- was difficult to find the links to tutorials, mystery navigation, :)
- pretty fast, when the server is alive, :)

I'm not talking about content, the site is new, it's normal, I talk about links to content, It's hard to find that there is a link there, you have no clue about them.

- the tutorials, violin link is still hidden, I must guess where are the links
- the fonts are too small, I can't learn to sing this way, :)
- events, the hand cursor is the single clue that are links there.

I want to have a long life therefor I stop here, until you don't kill me, :)

PS: by the way I like the instrument from the front page, the picture, what it is? I don't talk about snake, :)

there a few things that I don't like about it but it might all be related to my main reason. the site is about music but I don't see "music" when I see it load. At the very least have a tag line under the logo. When I first see the site it's a whole bunch of links and text. Yep thats a website. Your supporting the arts but it in no way tells me visually what the site is about. Blogs are blogs so you can't judge the same way. you are trying to "sell" the musical arts. I don't necessarily dislike the layout but I do dislike that upon first entering, I don't get any sense that this isn't just another site.
