Hey,

I want to start to learn PHP - cause I see this language being used all over the place now - so not everyone could be wrong ;)

I'm very fluent in ASP - but I want to add another SSL to my repetuar (hmm .. spelled right?)

CAN PHP be run on IIS, or do I need something else?

How should I get started, and where's a great place on the internet to get me going?

Thanks

~Quack

Jeewhiz - you say that you're a PHP guru - so, what server are you using to run your PHP pages?

phpdev4 allows you to run php pages on your pc at localhost. It's basically a server (apache). Worth downloading. Saves you loads of time.

oh ok, well I've got it running on IIS.. so I think I'm fine... I still don't understand why I'd need phpdev4

If you've already got a server that php runs off, then you won't need phpdev. It's only so you can run scripts on your own machine.

phpdev is just an package of apache, php, mysql, phpMyadmin, and a few other things. Firepages put it all together in an easy to install set up manner.

... repetuar (hmm .. spelled right?)
That's "repertoire", or repertory. Sorry, no pun intended, just couldn't resist it! :D
