I submitted this bug a few days ago, and it has not seen any response yet.

can someone tell me if this is a bug or if i am misunderstanding something?

from the bug thread:

I'm not sure this bug is valid. The target is probably the table cell (since
we can't render any part of the row outside of cells), and the currentTarget
property would be the table row element.

yes, this does work. can I use currentTarget exclusively or will it always depend on whether the target is "renderable"?
