Help! Regarding storing data.

Hi,

I wasnt sure where to put this, but here goes. I am creating a website (using php) which users will be able to add details of themselves such as pictures, comments and a personal profile (sort of similar to Facebook). :)
Considering there may be alot of users, each with their own personal profile...what is the best way of storing this type of data? ie. mysql, xml etc.

A relational database is ideal be that MySQL or some other.
Basically if you ever need to search though some data its best in a DB, XML is fine in practice but slow to parse.

I personally would not recommend you keep images inside the DB by the way, just searchable data.
