Hi guys,

Got a webmaster account with some sites added to my account.
1 site, brownscoachhire.com (http://www.brownscoachhire.com) was last crawled May 2007.

Is there any way to make Google's bot crawl my site more frequently?

Any advice on SEO is much appreciated.

some thing are important:
- content, keyword, target, density, activity, meta tags,...
- valid markup
- submit and buld a sitemap, this affect crowling somehow
- external links, based on content, paid links avoided

no other legal way, google have it's own ritm, :)

It's hard to give specific detalis without analyzing.

I do have a sitemap generated by Google Webmaster but when I view the file there is no date tag or content.

Can you tell me where this tag should go and the date format?

google webmaster don't generate sitemap. You must build it and submit.
is a simple xml file:

http://www.sitemaps.org/
http://www.sitemaps.org/protocol.php

you can also submit, same sitemap.xml to yahoo and msn.

yahoo have a similar tool, site explorer:

https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/

I already have generated sitemaps for all my sites on my webmster account and now have added in lastmod tag to all elements in sitemap.

You could try this... Google like to spider blogs they now own Blogger, set up a blogger site, put post on the site with a link to your main site as the blogger site get spidered it will continue to your main site.
I understand that the best way is post regular content, a small amount on a regular basis, not one big chunk.

Good quality linking will also do the trick.

go here http://www.google.com/addurl/ to add your site to the "to be crawled" list usually takes about 24 hours, any time you change your meta keywords, go back and ad it to the crawl list again, so they update. this always works for my website.

best way to make it crawl more often, is to frequently update your website. Also you can periodically google your website

Improve the link popularity of your site and it will be crawled quite frequently.
