css rollover image links

Hi all.

Earlier this week I posted a thread asking about css image links.

Some people gave me some very helpful answers but they did not fix the problem i have.

If you view my website here (http://ginterface.com/avanti/) in both FF and IE 7 you will notice that my image button links on the right hand side have a delay when you hover over them.

However this only happens in IE!

Please can someone help me fix this problem. You may find it easier to see what i have done if you check my html and css code.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to correct this?

The pause is there in FF too.
It's pausing the a:hover needs to download the image.
The way to fix that is to have the image already there. Look at these CSS rollovers and, especially, the images that do them:
one (http://nopeople.com/CSS/2state%20CSS%20navbar/)
two (http://nopeople.com/CSS/CSS_rollover/)
