Right Now I have the book Accelerated C++ but I was looking at jobs around my area..chattanooga...and I have notice jobs here want someone that knows VB, C#, .NET, and java. I am just wondering which would like dissolve out in coming years and which would be the more dominant.

None are likely to dissolve any time soon because all are popular and have their uses. As far as which will become dominant I haven't seen any figures, but no matter which you learn you should be able to get work for it; and if you learn a couple of them that will improve your chances.

I am just finding it kinda hard learning C++ by itself...knowing more than 1 language I dunno if I can do that or how anyone could.UNless they just know the basics of more than 1.

I know around 10 different programming languages fairly well. For the most part the programming concepts are all the same regardless of the language. When you know those, all that you need to learn mostly for a new language is the syntax.

In my case, C++ is not an easy language to learn either, so don't let it smash your hopes of learning other languages well. Once you get C++ down, you will be able to move to other languages easily.

Thats why I basically started trying to learn it :-)
