Digital Delivery code example wanted

I'm thinking of writing my own php mysql Digital Delivery web application for my website but I was wondering if there was any open source code examples that would get my code started?

Why reinvent the wheel? There are many free available scripts out there that already do this. Check out www.hotscripts.com

Thats all good but I really I aught to learn how to code this stuff if I'm to get anywhere in e-commerce

Asking for an example isn't learning now is it? That basically is what hotscripts is. It has a lot of scripts (examples) to choose from. If you want to learn how to code on your own then start reading manuals and doing tutorials.

A lot of these code examples are bloated and to much functionality. I think I would be better studying the paypal APi and writing my own? Then I would have something to build on and more useful in the end.
