How can I create an event that on given a click on image1.jpg changes to image2.jpg and viceverse?

Example:

Click on image1.jpg change to image2.jpg but else insert some information in my mysql database.

Click on image2.jpg change to image1.jpg but else insert some information in my mysql database.

What do you mean by "But Else"?

But you'd just use the onclick event to call your AJAX function.
