I don't understand some messageoesxyl 12-17-2007, 09:09 PM I'm curios what is this: "oesxyl has a little shameless behaviour in the past" could somebody explain? Inigoesdr 12-18-2007, 12:11 AM Some people have given you negative reputation points. Aradon 12-18-2007, 12:24 AM If you click on your usercp (at the top left) you can see where you've gotten reputation and for what reason if they filled that part in. oesxyl 12-18-2007, 01:03 AM Aradon: I know to use usercp. Some people have given you negative reputation points. I don't care about this "reputation" stuff. I'm talking about message, is offending, is part of the forum code and more than that is against forum rule 1 Posting rules * 1.1) Always be respectful and polite when posting- There is absolutely no excuse to be rude, confrontational, or hostile when posting on CodingForums.com. Now I'll be waiting for details. thank you for replay, both of you. VIPStephan 12-18-2007, 01:25 AM What’s rude about telling that someone has had shameless behavior in the past? 1 Posting rules * 1.1) Always be respectful and polite when posting- There is absolutely no excuse to be rude, confrontational, or hostile when posting on CodingForums.com. Doesn’t say anything about being rude in the reputation status. :p Clearly, it must have been you who has been offensive in the first place, otherwise those people wouldn’t have given you negative feedback. oesxyl 12-18-2007, 01:34 AM What’s rude about telling that someone has had shameless behavior in the past? Clearly, it must have been you who has been offensive in the first place, otherwise those people wouldn’t have given you negative feedback. you must be joking. http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?p=640220#post640220 but the problem is not the "reputation", you miss the point. sdcomputerz 12-18-2007, 02:01 AM I think what oesxyl is trying to say is that he said nothing in his post that was offensive. I have been given bad reputation because someone thought that I gave a bad answer to a question. From the looks of it, that is what has happened here. This is one of the downfalls to the reputation system. When this happens, people think that you have done something bad in the past, and jump to conclusions; when all it was, was someone giving you bad rep for a "bad answer". oesxyl 12-18-2007, 02:21 AM I think what oesxyl is trying to say is that he said nothing in his post that was offensive. Obviously you do; this "reputation" stuff is what gives you that status message. oesxyl 12-18-2007, 02:25 AM Obviously you do; this "reputation" stuff is what gives you that status message. in your opinion this kind of message is normal? Can anybody do something with this kind of message or we just talking? oracleguy 12-18-2007, 07:34 AM in your opinion this kind of message is normal? Can anybody do something with this kind of message or we just talking? I believe those are the vBulletin default messages for the reputation levels. So you could say those messages are normal. The admin (WA) could change what those messages are if he felt so inclined. It won't say that for your rep status if you gain some positive reputation points to counter act the negative points you've gotten. oesxyl 12-18-2007, 01:54 PM I believe those are the vBulletin default messages for the reputation levels. I answer when I know or I believe I know, I do my best and I do to help people not for "reputation" or points, and if you have time and you are curios, check my replays and btw check the treads I started too and try to evaluate them. I think that this thread could be closed. Thank you for replay. best regards sdcomputerz 12-18-2007, 07:02 PM I kinda wish sometimes that a user could just disable the rep feature for themselves. It's supposed to be an incentive for the user to be courteous and helpful. ;) sdcomputerz 12-19-2007, 02:59 AM Well ya, but it can also be a hassle. |
