I made a layout using div(assignment for web class in hs). When the window is maximize everything looks fine but when I make it smaller, it changes. The right div box goes to the bottom, the left div isn't position under than navigation bar anymore. How do I fix this?

Hello d4v1d,
Sounds like float drop. It will be very hard to fix since we can't even see it though...

Sounds like it may be a similar problem to what I had just the other day. I had two floated divs side by side (two colums) and the right div kept dropping down. So I put both the divs inside a third wrapper div around them and now they are fine.

If Im way off the mark I appoligise!

Yeah I did something like that too about an hour after I made this thread, and it worked!

Thanks guys.

Btw I have another question relating to my layout.

Is there a way for the left div box to automatically match the height of the right one? Because for example the right box contains more content which results in the height getting bigger, but I want the left box to still match up with it without always having to change the height of it.

It's all in how you nest the divs. Google faux columns for a couple ideas or look at some examples I have:
one (http://nopeople.com/CSS/equal_length_columns/)
two (http://nopeople.com/CSS/faux_3-column/)

thanks for the links.

well I'm having the same problem again. When I view the layout in 1024x768 res, the whole layout is shifted to the left, the right div box isn't position right. When you restore down, the right box still moves down. A lot of problems. Would you mind if I pm'd you my stuff in a zip folder and you could perhaps check out my webpage and coding and explain to me what's wrong with it?
