Every time a link is clicked, how do I keep a record of the number of clicks a link has received, and store the results in a database?

This is a help forum. If you want someone to code for you, you have to pay them.

I just need somebody to help me in the correct direction. I'm extremely stuck. I don't want anybody to code it for me, just give me an idea of how to code it.

People have been giving ideas. But you need to take those ideas and research them. Not expect someone to give you all the details.

And it is never okay to create multiple topics with the same question repeated in a different form because nobody is giving you the full answer that you want.

I reviewed all the threads and there is only one where there was even a hint of an acknowledgment in it. And zero thanks to date. There is also no feedback in any of them that the information was ever tried or if it did or did not work.

Cerby, you are expected to being something to a programming forum, like a basic understanding of the programming language you are attempting to use. You are also expected to try to solve your problems and then ask for help only after you have tried and you get stuck.

Your questions don't show any of those things. You appear to be asking first (in multiple programming forum sites no less) without having put in any attempt to find or do these things yourself. If you are stuck on figuring out the basic things you have been asking, either you are not trying or you have jumped into something without learning the basics and don't have the background necessary to be attempting these things yet. You need to start with the basics. Buy a php/mysql book or two and read them. Read tutorials and existing scripts to find out and learn how to do the things you are asking. And just as important, search and read through programming Forums like this one. You can learn a lot by spending time "looking" (lurking) in a Forum (I personally read through a lot of forum responses just to find out how someone else would accomplish something.)
