getting notified

I would like to be able to let users of me webpage edit a text file in my database. Then I would like to get notified by email wich contains when it happend and what was changed. Any ideas? Do you know of such a script on the internet that I can purchase or download?

Be careful how you validate the inputted text. You need to be extra wary of XSS attacks with this kind of thing. You can use the php mail() function to send the email.
