I have several external swfs loading into my main timeline. I wish to pause the main timeline until all the swfs are loaded, then start the timeline again.

Does anyone know if this is possible? And if so how I would go about doing this?

You're going to want to include a preloader. http://gotoandlearn.com has several examples.
