Hello, I am using the font, tahoma, on my site. I am using H3 tags because h1 tags are to bulky and awkward no matter what size I reduce them to. Is there a way around this? Using a different font or CSS?

WOT! No DOCTYPE?

Not quite sure what you mean. You can define H1 to be what you like as far as I know.

Try changing the margins to zero or a suitable value.

Uhm… yeah, you can change any element’s font size through CSS:

<h1 style="font-size: 13px;">Headline</h1>
