hey guys,

I'm building a site for a friend and I've come up with a problem. I've been trying for hours to fix it/see the problem but i can't. So i turn to you guys for some help. Basically what I want is for left div (coffee) and the right div(text area) to line up with eachother.

i have a container div which holds both divs inside.

for example ...
<div id="container2">

<div id="coffee">blah</div>
<div id="textarea">blah</div>
</div>

link is: www.onthewaycafe.ca/v2 (http://www.onthewaycafe.ca/v2/)

any help is appreciated.

thanks in advanced.

If the following is your htms structure, then you can do it simply by adding
<div id="container2">
<div id="coffee" >blah</div>
<div id="textarea">blah</div>
</div>

#cofee{
float:left;
height:XXX;
width:YYY;
}
#textarea{
margin-left:YYY;
}

But you may have to add <div style="clear:both"></div>, just below textarea div (but inside container2) to clear the height issue of container.

hey abduraooft,

Hmm.. perhaps IE considers the width of elements slightly different.(due to borders/padding)
If you can reduce the width of right column from width:736px; to a lesser value may solve the issue.

all you would really need to do is set a height to text and they seem lined up fine in firefox
