hey, does anyone know how to have pages of .php just in page/
so an example would be.
www.website.com/testingpage/
instead of having www.website.com/testingpage.php?

What kind of pages are the ones just with a /?
thanks.

That is just a directory with an index.php file in them. Pointing your site to http://www.website.com/testingpage/index.php should get you to the same place. Most of the time index.php or index.html is the default page though this may vary with your host.

in your .htaccess file(if your using apache) add this line:

DirectoryIndex pagename.php
where pagename.php is whatever you want.

NOTE: this will carry over to subdirectories unless you set it in each directory or make a list like this:

DirectoryIndex pagename.php page2.php page3.php
so if pagename.php doesnt exist, it will move on to page2.php then page3.php

I just made a page under a directory and I labelled it. index.aspx and didn't work, then I tried Default.aspx. and none of the times doing directory/ got me to that place. Do I empty the directory and only have that page?

Does you host support asp pages? You may want to check with your host to see what the default pages are.
