View Full Version : 3 questions regarding my css code
10-05-2007, 10:09 PM
Hi Im pretty new to all this and I have 3 problems which are stumping me if any one could help me out:)
1, Why isn't the padding showing on the header at the top?
2, Why isn't the body background showing on the homepage but is on all the others?
3, Why are the ad banners only showing on certain pages? (I'd prefer not to show at all but I can't remove the mark up thats been added)
I know I have a lot of unnessacery mark-up but untill now it's not caused any problems, and I plan to fix it in the future, but for now as the page is showing fine I plan to leave it alone.
The page is http://www.solidmasonry.co.nz
The css page is http://solidconstruction.bravehost.com/style.css
I would be extremely greatful for any help I getting ready to pull my hair out!

Thanks I've removed the "postion" and ran it through the validator but most of the errors I can't change as it's errors in the mark up written by bravehost ( my hosting site ) which doesn't show up in the text editor.
Also I'm not sure how to change the other errors it's showing about the block level elements inside inline elements, If I change them the other way round it completely changes my layout:confused:
These errors don't seem to have any affect on the above errors though as the problem only started tonight when I tried to change the layout slightly, The html errors have been there awhile.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks Kat x

This is from my PC.
Is this what it is supposed to look like?
Ignore the file name at immediate top.

This line of code may be controlling the adverts, but if you remove it, the program may not run.
##<!-- Start Bravenet.com Service Code --><CENTER>
<!-- END DO NOT MODIFY --></CENTER>
Off to bed.

The code posted above by frank is the hit counter.
The code uneditable by bravenet is lines 15-50
I use firefox if that helps
I just wanna but a bit of padding at the top of the header and the white background on the homepage.
