I just read the contribute license (http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/pdfs/Gen_WWCombined-CS3-20060817_1651.pdf)
Section 2.

I have adobe web premium and have some components on my computer. Am I ok if I lend my friend a copy of Adobe contibute for his exlusive use provided that I will not use the software on my computer at all during the period that he is using contribute. I have no need for using contribute on my computer and this would save hher buying it.

Am I on stable ground here?

It depends on their terms and conditions and licence agreement.

On the one hand, as long as the software is used by one person and is installed on one machine...it can be viewed that you haven't broken their terms, conditions or license agreement.

On the other hand, Adobe Premium is a package of software applications and when sold, only the person purchasing the software application is permitted to use it...and therefore, you will be breaking their terms of use if you allow any person(s) to use something that they are not allowed to use.

I think you should contact Adobe for clarifications and get the answer from them...and I would strongly recommend that you keep a reference of any correspondence...in case you are miss-informed by one of their employees.
