The may have been posted before sorry if it has but im about to turn 16 and always loved computers/games and was hoping i could get in a future career involving me making my own games or helping others make them. Anyways awhile back about 1/2 a year i bought a book "Tricks of the windows Game Programming gurus" i read about 40 pages of it and thought i should take a step down because it assumed that i knew a little bit of c language and i dont i never even touched a lang. So i want to know what you guys/girls suggest i do, were to start and possibly what programs or books i need to buy. Im ready to do anything it takes

Thats a good book, but you do need some prior knowledge. I'd recommend the Sam's Teach Yourself C++ in 21 Days which an excellent starter book, although it seems there are infinite free C++ tutorials and resources available online.
