Hi Folks! Wonderful google directed me here!

I'm curious if you genius's can help me out, currently setting up a wiki based on wow content (yes... another!) and using the wowwiki CSS based on monobook (i think)

The site is www.brewwiki.co.uk and displays differently in firefox and IE6/7
The trouble is the top bar where it says article/edit etc has a box seems to overlap on IE7 but not firefox where it stays behind.
Essentially I would prefer to remove this box completely, but I can't find what is causing it?

heres the CSS im using, any help would be hugely appreciated!

Also it doesnt do this on the original css - which if needed I will upload

Many Thanks

Found some new info, when I used a firefox developers toolbar I selected this box and it came back with this bit of CSS code

.pBody {
font-size: 95%;
background-color: #333;
border-collapse: collapse;
border: 1px solid #aaa;
padding: 0 .8em .3em .5em;
}

So I looked up the original and it shows this (one extra line) but both do the same thing

.pBody {
font-size: 95%;
background-color: white;
color: black;
border-collapse: collapse;
border: 1px solid #aaa;
padding: 0 .8em .3em .5em;
}

Any Ideas?

Many Thanks

Vod

It's possible that the missing line is inheriting it anyway from a parent.
My knowledge of css is far from complete, so I may be wrong, but properties do get inherited.

Thanks for that.

I've been looking at it a bit more, I even copied and pasting over from the original CSS but all it did was change the colour.

If I removed that section completely then the whole left side navigation vanishes, boxes and all (including the top bar I don't want) It just ended up confusing me.

I'll try what you mentioned and see what happens.

Cheers

Ah no luck,

I've got a program that will show the original and the modified one side by side and shows all the changes/new text etc.

Would you know what sort of keywords im looking for to see if I can weed out where this issue is?

Cheers
Vod
(half suspecting the css is for an older wiki version and I'm chasing a ghost)
