My question is... why do i always need to optimise my table after deleting something. The table is most definately normalized; the only thing to it is a autoincrementing id, a name and a shoutout field. Is it normal to have to optimise after deleting? im worried because i will be making a database with 2600 items in it and having to optimise the thing could seriously hurt performance. TIA
