MSN Messenger down?

it shows it as down on my PC yet on the service status page it showed it as down and now the service status page has disapeared.

can anyone else confirm it is down

It was down for me too , but I'm on right now.

Only four other people on my list are online too, so I'm assuming it was a big problem on MS's end.

I bet they have killed there servers until they build a patch for msn to prevent a big virus goin round which sends it to everyone on your msn list.

the service status page is now back up, o its gone its up and down like a yoyo
it sohws the service as temporally unavailable

It's been on and off for me.

btw has anyone noticed MSN is Adware? I thought I could turn the QXL, Lastminute.com, Expedia tabs off but they re-appear when you re-open msn. :mad:

mouse there is a fix for your prob
go tools>options and the click privacy and put a check in the box this is a shared computer so don`t display my tabs.
then click ok, that trick does work.

I can disable tabs in Windows Messenger in WinXP....

I always though MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger were the same thing, but using MSN Messenger on my brother's laptop (with Win98)... they are very different programs.
