I am aware that there are various ways to install IE5, IE6 and IE7 on the same machine...but as software/web developers...there are other applications that we may wish to install....or perhaps test our products on a different version of Windows....specially those who have upgraded to Vista.
Anyway, I came across this free download from Microsoft...and decided to share with everyone....in case someone is looking for a solution.
VPC (MS Virtual PC) Hard Disk Image for testing websites on IE on Windows XP SP2
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=21EABB90-958F-4B64-B5F1-73D0A413C8EF&displaylang=en
I believe the copy will expire on 7th December 2007.
It can be useful if you are testing freeware applications..or client/server applications...creating tutorials..etc.
Of course, there are alternatives...such as VMWare...where you can download pre-built machines...and then download the free VMWare player....etc
Cheers,
