Putting files up for download

Hi does anyone know how to put files on your site easily available for download.

Yeah, you just link to them like normal. If it's a file that isn't openable in a browser, the browser will launch a download prompt.

To force a download instead of opening the file, for example in the case of PDF files, you can use PHP or equivalent, and send a specific content type header.
