Looking For A Simple Tut On Making Your Own Blogspot Template?

I am fairly knowledge on html, css, a bit of php but am hung up on altering my blog on blogger free templates (http://freetemplates.************************/)messing up the scripting for the blog itself. If it makes a difference, I am editing in dreamweaver graphics in Photoshop.
