from your experience what is the best free easy to use xml/xsl editor
something like editpade for html/web scripts
Err, I just use the same text editor I use for everything else with XSL...
Editing XML doesn't have any special requirements, so any text editor would work. So, it's really up to you. You can get specialty editors (I think one is called "XML Spy"?), but I never found any use for them.

I've used XML SPY a little - good workflow aspects if you have to manage a large XML-based infrastructure. But otherwise, text editors do fine.
