Is it possible to make my computer maximise the screen every time the computer is used, even at switch on? For some reason, evertime I switch the computer on, I have to maximise the screen. I have tried everything I can think of,, but with no success.

It should open in the last used size, i.e. just before it was closed.
Another way: right click on the shortcut icon > properties > Run: Maximized.

The shortcut icon that is made from the desk top does not have this option. And with my Windows XP Pro, it never resumes where I left it, even if I call up the same icon immediately. I'll try the other way you mention. I find the necessity of maximising every call I make a little annoying. I do hope it works.
FIngers crossed. Watch this space!
Many thanks.

EDIT: Sorry, that does not work either. Looks like I'm stuck with it. Curses.
Sounds like you could have a virus!
Yet another option: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_zdpcm/is_200104/ai_ziff3731/pg_1

Sorry, but it also doesn.t work.
According to my two AntiVirus programs I do not have a virus on my PC.
Thanks anyway for your help.
