website shopping basket

hello

i'd like to design a website where things can be ordered but i dnt know how a shopping basket is designed. is a java script used to create it? i'm at a complete loss as to how to start!!

It requires some server side scripting if you want to actually put it to use.

And you can find many ready made shopping cart scripts in the various different server-side languages. Find out what languages your web host supports and then decide among these:
