Is there a way that I am able to make a page on my site, similar to a Facebook, or Myspace in which people an Have a profile, and then be able to communicate in a forum like way. Thank you.

One possibility is to add a Forum Software with a Shoutbox.
Have a look at http://anelectron.com/board/ for a nice Forum software that includes User Profiles and a Shoutbox already built-in.

*warning* The software is a work-in-progress. features are being written/included as we speak... It is available for download, and is secure/stable, but still being worked on

There are softwares out there to 'wrap' a Forum and integrate the Log-in, etc for b oth the site and the Forum. Try googling MK Portal for instance.

You won't get very far in life with that attitude.

Because freewebs is set up to do that, they likely specialize in those sort of sites, and have the code sitting there ready to install. I don't.
