is there a technique that replaces Iframes? or are Iframes still correct to use and not deprecated.

The iframe element is deprecated when using a Strict DOCTYPE. There really is no reason to iframes unless you need a page constantly refreshing but if you are wanting to use an iframe because you don't want to have to edit your navigation on every page then there are better ways to do things.

You could use an object element to replace the iframe but compatibility issues will arise.

So I guess the question would be, why exactly do you want to use an iframe?

well i exactly dont know, so if i dont use an Iframe in a web page where i need to view several JPGS i would have to repeat the complete code of the pages in those web pages that includes JPGS (i would have to repeat the header and footer)?

Something I've been really fond of and I think looks a lot neater is Lightbox (http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/).

Click on the example images.

If all you want is a sliding box like an iframe then use divs with overflow set to auto.

no i dont want sliding box , just clicking one time then you get to the next image

Hmm so you click the image and it displays the next image?

You could use an image swap function with JS
