Hello,

I am using Vista on my laptop ... and our remaining network computers are running Windows XP Pro SP2 ... I can access Internet through router but unable see any Network Computers ... they can share files and printer within Windows XP but I can't ... I found thi thread (http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=112882) but no luck..

any idea whats wrong with Vista ... or my system settings ?

Click the Vista Orb (Start button) and then go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing > Sharing and Discovery > Adjust the settings here. Usually in a home network you'll want most of the options to be enabled. Be sure your network is secure.

right now i'm using third party software network magic 4.2 and my problem is solved.

I tried by changing the settings in Sharing and Discovery ... but no luck..

there is a problem in Vista.. i guess. :rolleyes:

I doubt this is a problem with Vista. I have Vista Business and it can view the other computers just fine as well as share files and printers with them. As I said before you need to adjust those settings. Its likely you didn't adjust them correctly.
