Has anyone here got a PayPal accoount that has actually spoken to an agent of PayPal via mail or phone?

I am unable to contact PayPal via phone as I live in South Africa and don't have a ton of cash just to spend on a few stupid questions.

Does anyone have a PayPal agent email address that is working?
Any help would be great.

Well what are your questions?

I've called PayPal before, they have been quite nice and helpful.

I live in South Africa and you live in the states that is a big difference to the amount of cash you pay for a phone call.

I have no doubt that they are nice people, well if you live and have a bank in the states but I am unable to draw funds as I have no US bank account.

My Question:
How do I use PayPal to make money or get donations if they wont pay to a South African bank?

Cheers
West

Well, money goes into your paypal account and then from there you can withdraw it in a number of ways.

1st, have you tried adding your bank account to your PayPal account? If not, give it a try and see. That also makes you a verified user.

2nd, you can request a check from PayPal.

3rd, you get a PayPal debit card and either get the money out using an ATM or just use the card to buy stuff.

Love the ideas but that is impossible as I can't withdraw funds only send

I upgraded the account to business as the site misled me to believe that uprading would solve my problems.

But no luck...

It does not seem that anyone from SA uses this forum.

Has anyone used a paypal acount to withdraw funds to a South African bank account or got a cheque yet?

I don't mean to be funny :D but paypal may not be the option for me to make any money online - posting my bank account details would be easier.

Know idea!

what about trying MoneyBrookers

http://www.moneybookers.com/

they seem to provide support for South Africa.

Note: I have never used them...so, do some research

alternatively, try google checkout https://checkout.google.com/ though, not sure if they cover South Africa

cheers,

This is from paypal:

My name is Patrick and I hope that my email reply finds you and yours well.
South Africa is a send-only country in the PayPal Community.

PayPal accounts registered in South Africa are not able to receive money. I am terribly sorry.
If there is anything else that I may address for you, please do not hesitate to write me again.

I have found and got a system for South African banks, it's a guy in SA that developed a system and it's worth it.

Have fun as I hope this will help all SA guys with these types of issues.
