Basicly, i am building a website for my production company, and have some interesting ideas... First of all, I am a DJ and have several DJ's on my label... I would like to create a way for us to create a live broadcast over the internet, that people can listen to by logging into our website... as well, i would like to have something of a message board that would allow people to make requests...
All i am looking for right now... is some information on how i could go about doing this? what languages would it require, what type of server side support would it need? can it be done?
Thank you for your time.

I don't know anything about doing streaming audio, but there are bulletin board programs you can install, such as IkonBoard or vBulletin.

if you are going to stream music with copyright on it, won`t you need some sort of liscense?

i think u can easily accomplish ur objectives with free software around the web, easy to install, and free
for the forum, i would recommend the invision power board, free, really realiable, fast and easy to costumize
http://www.invisionboard.com/
about ur streaming audio, i would recommend u go to sourceforge.net, and search for netjunkie, a open source project for streamin audio communities... i have it and runs great...
http://netjuke.sourceforge.net/
both are free, and if they work for you, please donate to the people who have created this great open source software...

ShoutCast or something like that will allow you to send out music for people to listen to.
Heck, I am listening to http://afterhoursdjs.org right now.
I also listen to http://Di.fm
