New community for freelancers, designers, coders etc.

Hi,

My friend just started up (like just started up) a site similar to GetaCoder. It's a forum where users can post for jobs needed to be accomplished, look for jobs, buy & sell items (such as templates, logo's,banners etc.) and such all involving coding and web design; essentially offering all possible web-based services.

Looks fair enough to me. I have no doubt of joining however.

As a basic forum goes, it's just that. It isn't very exciting and doesn't really draw me in to join.

You really need to have something attached to the forums to give people a better reason to visit instead of just as a job/art hunting site.
